A Series of Trips for all Skill Levels to Places of Interest

Sept 30

Gerhart Machinery Company
September 30 (Saturday) 8 am

The grounds at Gerhart Machinery Co. consist of 25 acres of old trucks, cranes, machinery parts, along with a huge array of old Mack trucks. You can capture great images including textures (lots of rust!), abstracts, repeating patterns, and of course, great old equipment. It is recommended that you wear heavy shoes (no sandals), bring bug spray and water. Bring a tripod for any macro shots, wide angle lens, and short telephoto lens.

Meet at the Camp Hill Arby's parking lot at 8:00 AM sharp.

Leader: Eve Smith

Apple Harvest Festival

There is much to photograph and do at the National Harvest Festival in Adams County. There are Native American dancers, beautiful fall foliage, an antique auto show, along with live entertainment, food and vendors to keep you busy.

Admission is $10, Seniors $9.

Meet at the Giant Grocery Store in Dillsburg on Route 15 at 7AM.

Grimes Air Show
October 21 (Saturday) 8AM

It is the home of the Golden Age Air Museum. Aircraft from the 1920's and 1930's will be flying anad dropping pumpkins on targets. This is a great way to photograph airplanes in flight as well as old planes in the museum.

Check this site: www.goldenageair.org for more details.

Telephoto lens would be a plus for the flying events.

Meet at 8AM sharp at the Camp Hill Shopping Mall, near Arby's.

Leader: Norbert Fry

Ricketts Glen and Concrete City
November 11 (Saturday) 7:30 AM

This is a full day trip to both Ricketts Glen for a brief waterfall shoot and then on to Concrete City.  The Ricketts portion will be on a very easy trail and Concrete City will need good boots as we will be in an area with debris on the ground.  you will want a tripod, wide angle lens and a polarizer filter.  If you have a ND filter that would be good to bring along.

Meet at 7:30AM sharp at the Camp Hill Shopping near the Arby's Restaurant.

Leader: Steve Bootay
